Software engineer with a studied eye for how systems are designed, reasoned about, and held together under pressure. I work close to the metal and close to the user, depending on what the problem asks for.
The same precision carries into design. Interfaces, Three.js, generative work, UX. Illustration, comics, writing, film, photography not separate from the engineering, the same curiosity in different form.
I learn by making. Everything else follows.
When away from a screen: outdoors with a camera, watching films with intention, acquiring books at an irresponsible rate.
I write, photograph, design, and occasionally build things in the browser. Two accounts. One way of paying attention.
Design, architecture, film, personal essays, creative technology. Writing is the source. Everything else is an echo of it. Posters, fit checks, just existing, sketches, and more. What is not yet published lives quietly in Notion, working its way out.
The natural world and its elements. Whatever mother nature has. Insects, water, bark, fungi, soil, light through leaves. Some days a beetle on a wall. Some days a puddle after rain. Slow, close, and consistent.
Personal essays on film, architecture, disease, history, women, old figures, and any thought that deserves following to its conclusion. Published on Substack. Part of the Changing Perspective anthology, 2019.
Urban nature, earth elements, surfaces, light. Close attention to what most people walk past. Also places, spaces, and the occasional study of something small and easily overlooked.
Typographic posters, editorial layouts, Three.js browser experiments. Experimenting with comics, physical media, magazines, and unconventional tech objects. Creative technology as a practice alongside everything else.
